Sharron Williams died on March 15, 2022. The very proud Miami native was born on November 11, 1981 in the home of Floyd Williams, and Abigail Evans Williams. She completed high school in the New World School of the Arts where she trained in all forms of dance. She was offered a number of scholarships throughout her time there at New World to attend Alvin Ailey's summer camp. Then she joined the Ailey II 2nd Company. She then went on to Florida State University and received a bachelor's degree of Applied Economics and another Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Social Science. Then she recognized that her artistic aptitudes, skills and talents were more than dance, so she studied acting with James Brill at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theater. She has worked on television and film projects such as HBO's Lovecraft Country and Vinyl, Netflix Original Series The Get Down and Scary Movie 5 Cinderella was her main character on the Little Orchestra society production of Cinderella that was staged at Lincoln Center. She recently performed in concert with Broadway's troupe and toured across around the US as part of the Disney film The Lion King.
